According to Simpsonville police, the pervert woman has been
arrested and charged Wednesday with third-degree criminal sexual
conduct.
Atkins has a criminal record that includes assault and driving under the influence, according to a report from the S.C. Law Enforcement Division.
The nurse identified as Peggy Louise Atkins sexually molested a
2-year-old girl left in her care. Police said the toddler’s foster
parent notified authorities that Atkins, the girl’s nurse, had the child
in an inappropriate position.
According to the child’s biological mother, the child was placed in
foster care after the young girl suffered serious injuries at the hands
of her father. The mom, who did not want to reveal her name in order to
protect the child, said she just hopes justice is served and that her
little girl is allowed to come home.
“I just want my child to come back home so that everything can
be back like it use to be, you know I love my daughter and I have been
fighting and I am not going to stop fighting and justice needs to be
served for not just my child, but for me too,” the mother said.
