The New York Post has published photos of Melania Trump, wife of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump posing nude in a photo spread for a now-defunct French men’s magazine.
The Slovenian-born model, then 25 years old and known by her professional moniker Melania K, did the steamy photo session in Manhattan in 1995, according to Alé de Basse­ville, the French photographer who shot the sexy photo.

As Nigerians continue to condemn the verbal attack Dino Melaye launched on his colleague, Senator Remi Tinubu during the senate's plenary yesterday July 13th, a women based group, the Women Advocacy Research and Development Centre (WARDC) has given him three days to apologise to Mrs Tinubu or they will picket the National Assembly. The group made the threat in a statement released today and signed by its Coordinator, Dr. Abiola Akiyode-Afolabi. Read the statement below:

"Failure of Senator Dino Melaye to take this appropriate step will lead to OCCUPY NATIONAL ASSEMBLY by well meaning Nigerians"the statement read The women group condemned the seeming silence of the senate to Dino's verbal attack on a woman.

"Verbal abuse, assault and battery of women is becoming a pattern in our democratic dispensation and it is a reflection of the numerous abuses that women face on a daily basis in the society According to National Demographic and Health Survey Report (2013), 28 percent of women age 15-49 have experienced physical violence at least once and 7 percent have experienced sexual violence in Nigeria and it is believed these figures are not representative of the magnitude of the problem. Between 2003 till date, notable women lawmakers have experienced physical and verbal abuse from men who are supposed to protect their rights. Senator Iyabo Anisulowo, was slapped by another Lawmaker at the National Assembly while another female lawmaker from Edo state was battered by an aide to an Immigration Oficer at the Assembly Complex earlier this year. Honourable Funmi Tejuoso was also physically assaulted at the Lagos State House of Assembly sometimes ago then this gender insecurity against Senator Oluremi Tinubu. Unfortunately, despite the public outcry against the security threat to Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the senate and the APC have not yet responded to the matter. Dino Melaye denied saying he will beat & impregnate Oluremi Tinubu at the same time

Dino Melaye who recently had a row with his colleague and wife of the National leader of APC,
Senator Oluremi Tinubu, today addressed members of the National Assembly correspondents where he denied claims of saying he would beat her and also impregnate her. Dino said he couldn't have said he would impregnate Senator Oluremi Tinubu as she has arrived menopause.

“It is malicious and a lie that I said I would impregnate Mrs Tinubu. Biologically, it is even impossible to impregnate Mrs Tinubu because she has arrived menopause. How can you say you want to beat somebody and at the same time impregnate the person. Unfortunately, Senator Oluremi Tinubu got up and was recognised to speak and immediately she started speaking, she specifically mentioned my name,.

 For reasons only known to Senator Remi Tinubu, she got up and the first thing she said was that she was being harassed in this chamber by Senator Melaye at this point. She went ahead to say that why would he come here and be threatening senators and there was a large chorus from senators. At that point I was still calm. She got up again and said that this thug must be tamed. At that point, I got up and told her that she was very stupid. The next statement from her was ‘You are a dog’. She called me a dog, and when she called me a dog I stood up and reacted and I told her that this was not bourdillon and she should look at my face, I am not one of those senators who normally come to prostrate to them in bourdillon and I am from Kogi and not from Lagos. Somehow she got falsehood sold to SaharaReporters. Nobody among those of us who spoke there talked about impeachment. The issue of the presidency was not the subject matter but because of deliberate wickedness and satanic manifestation, they brought in the issue of presidency to garnish their aim and purpose.”

Just In: PDP sacks Ali Modu Sheriff as Chairman, appoints Makarfi, Obi as caretaker committee Chairman, Secretary

After Ali Modu Sheriff declared the Port Harcourt Convention suspended because of several court cases, the party delegates who were at the Port Harcourt convention ground, agreed to go ahead with the convention.

They later dissolved the National Working Committee of the party thereby sacking Ali Modu Sheriff and immediately approved the nomination of former Governors of Kaduna state and Anambra state, Ahmed Makarfi and Peter Obi as Caretaker committee chairman and secretary respectively. They were sworn in immediately.

Other members of the committee are Senator Ugbesia, Sen Abdul Ningi, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, Aisha Aliyu, Barrister Usman.

In attendance at the convention include PDP state governors, Deputy snate president Ike Ekweremadu, former Senate President, David Mark, Senate Minority leader Godswill Akpabio.

Boxing Legend, Manny Pacquiao Wins Senate Seat in Philippine

Legendary boxer-turned-politician, Manny Pacquiao is set to start life as a congressman after securing enough votes to guarantee a seat in the Philippine Senate.
 According to election results conducted in the upper house Senate in Philippine, boxing hero Manny Pacquiao is set to win a seat when results are announced.

With over 93 per cent of voting centres accounted for from Monday's polls, the winner of an unprecedented eight world championships had garnered 15.2 million votes, more than enough to enter the Senate.

Pacquiao, 37, had a tough life and lived on the street before boxing his way to fame and has now become one of the country's biggest stars.

He retired from boxing last month to start life as a fulltime politician. His aim is to become the president of his country. 

According to available statistics, AFP reports that Pacquiao placed eighth out of a field of 50 candidates in a national race where the top 12 win a seat in the upper house, a powerful legislative body that has often served as a springboard to higher office.

Pacquiao who dropped out of school before finding success in sports is set to start life as a congress man.

Julius Malema: We are ready to remove Zuma government by force

 

According to Al Jazeera, Julius Malema is never far from the spotlight. In 2012, his aggressive and divisive brand of rhetoric led to expulsion from South Africa's ruling African National Congress (ANC). As head of the influential ANC youth league he had earlier helped Jacob Zuma become South Africa's president.
Many observers wrote him off, but he re-emerged quickly as head of a new party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), becoming a member of parliament in 2014.
Their fight, Malema says, is against white-held capital, and the "irritant" as he now describes Jacob Zuma.
His economic policies, including nationalisation of industry and expropriation without compensation, play well on the streets and badly in company boardrooms.
"We are not to wage any war against Zuma and the ANC," Malema says.
"We are waging a war against the white monopoly capital. Zuma is not our enemy, the ANC is not our enemy, they are standing on our way to crashing white monopoly capital which has stolen our land, which controls the wealth of our country, and as we are in the process of crashing the white monopoly capital, there will be some of those irritations that we have to deal with and Zuma represents such an irritation, the ANC represents such an irritation."
A controversial and often contradictory figure, Malema is a confirmed capitalist himself, known for his expensive taste, while much less is known about the source of his wealth.
He has been accused of corruption, convicted of hate speech, yet to his supporters he is a revolutionary, proceeding where the ANC has failed - to reduce inequality, redistribute wealth - and even, if necessary, to defend their rights by force.
He says that he is willing to take up arms against Zuma's government and "remove the parliament through the barrel of a gun" if they push them to do so.
"We know for a fact that Gauteng ANC rigged the elections here. We know for a fact that they lost in Johannesburg and they lost Gauteng. But we still accepted it but they must know that we are not going to do that this year," Malema says.
"We are not going to accept. Part of the revolutionary duty is to fight and we are not at shame if the need arise for us to take up arms and fight. We will fight.
"This regime must respond peacefully to our demands, must respond constitutionally to our demands.
"And if they are going to respond violently like they did in the township of Alexandra just outside Johannesburg, when people said these results do not reflect the outcome of our vote, they sent the army to go and intimidate our people.
"We are not going to stand there. Zuma is not going to use the army to intimidate us. We are not scared of the army. We are not scared to fight. We will fight."

Doyin Okupe says If a yoruba man doesn't become PDP chairman, Yorubas in the party may reconsider our membership'

As the PDP National convention approaches, where new party leaders including the National Chairman will be elected, former aide to former President Jonathan, Doyin Okupe, says that failure of the party to consider a Yoruba man as the new party chairman will make some of them reconsider their membership of the party. There is an embarrassing falsehood being propergated by political charlatans from the southwest and some influential collaborators in the top echelon of the PDP. The seed of this misrepresentation was sowed by a group of political clowns and court jesters under the leadership of Senator Buruji Kashamu, a political impostor who claims he is the leader of the party and the Yorubas in the Southwest.On the 21st of April 2016, the cream of the authentic Yoruba leadership in the southwest gathered at the Golden Gates Hotel on kingsway road, ikoyi, under the Chairmanship of Chief olabode George, a retired Air Commodore, Fmr Governor, former Dep. National Chairman of the PDP and a grandson of the revered, legendary and world acclaimed, distinguished Yoruba icon and Politician, Sir Herbert Macaulay.

At that meeting the true sons and daughters of Yoruba land in an unprecedented unity condemned the erstwhile claim by the Yoruba Traitors who went and lied to the PDP chairman, His Excellency Sen Ali Modu Sheriff, that the Yorubas do not want the chairmanship of the pdp.
I want to state categorically here, without any fear of equivocation, that We the Yoruba's from the Southwest, desire and demand the post of the national chairman at the next convention of the party.
The followings are the past chairmen:
Chief Solomon Lar, chief Gemade, Chief Audu ogbe, Prince Ogbolafor, Dr Nwodo, Alhadji Baraje, Dr Haliru Bello(AG), Alhadji Bamangar Tukur, Alhadji Adamu Muazu, Prince Secondus(Ag),and Sen Sheriff.
From the above within the last 18years there have been 11 chairmen from 5 geopolitical zones. Only the Yoruba Race from the south west have been precluded from this exalted office.
In the interest of fairness, equity and Justice, it is most compelling that the Yorubas of the Southwest zone must be allowed to contest for this post at this coming National convention.
Any attempt to do anything to the contrary, no matter the reason advanced cannot be acceptable.
Failure for a Yoruba man to emerge as the national chairman can only mean two things.

1. That there is a pervasive and concealed hatred for the southwest in the PDP. OR
2. That the PDP has very little or no regard for Yoruba interest as was envinced by the obvious cheating of the Southwest from the position of the Speaker in 2011, which was never rectified nor compensated for the whole of four years.

The sad implication of the above is that, regrettably, many of us from the southwest may have to reconsider our membership of this great party we have helped to nurture and supported through thick and thing, a party we have loved almost more than our very existence, and the party we have served with all our natural endowment, in victory and defeat.
If there exist any conscience, anywhere in this party, let that conscience speak now and stop the new and alien conscienceless power currently holding sway within the party hierarchy.
